Privacy & Cookies
How VDubRadio uses information on this website. Updated 10 October 2026.
Who to contact
VDubRadio operates this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact studio@vdubradio.co.uk.
Information you provide
Enquiries, DJ applications and show submissions contain the information you enter, such as contact details, messages, demos and event details. We use these to respond, review applications and manage station activities. Information is available to authorised station administrators and may be sent through our email service. We retain it while needed to handle the request and maintain relevant station records.
Website statistics
If you allow statistics, we record page paths, referral website names, browser and device categories, estimated country, active page time, link destinations and player Play clicks. A random browser identifier lets us estimate unique visitors. We store its hash, not the cookie value. Statistics exclude URL query strings and raw IP addresses. Country is looked up locally; your address is not sent to a geolocation service. Statistics are stored on our server and used to understand and improve the website. Declining statistics does not prevent you listening.
Cookies and storage
- VDUBRADIO_SITE: session cookie for forms, security and sign-in; normally expires when the browser session ends.
- VDR_PRIVACY: remembers your cookie choice for six months.
- VDUBRADIO_VISITOR: optional random browser identifier for statistics, lasting up to one year. Removed when you reject statistics.
- The player remembers your volume locally. Services opened or played through embedded features may use their own cookies and storage.
Google advertising
When enabled, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may use cookies and information about visits to this and other websites to deliver, personalise and measure advertising. Google’s certified consent message provides advertising choices where required; our statistics choice does not grant advertising consent. You can revisit advertising choices using the footer link when ads are enabled. See how Google uses information from partner sites, Google’s privacy policy and Google’s advertising preferences. Other advertising partners are disclosed in the consent message.
Third-party services
Radio streams, the DJ Hub pager, Mixcloud playback and external social or merchandise links are provided by separate services. Opening or using them may send your network address and browser information to those services. Their own privacy notices apply, and some providers may process information outside the UK.
Why we process information
Optional statistics and advertising storage use your permission where required. Handling enquiries and requested services may involve steps towards an agreement. Station administration and security rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, subject to your rights.
Security and your rights
Hosting and security logs may contain network addresses and request information for operation and abuse prevention. We restrict administration access. You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or raise an objection, by contacting us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Withdrawing cookie permission stops future optional statistics; it does not automatically delete earlier records.
