ABOUT DJ ENZY
"I started getting into the underground music scene when I was about 12, so that would be 1992. I have always loved the music and atmosphere it brings with it and from a young age always wanted to be a DJ. I purchased my first set of decks in 1994 (soundlab belt drives !!) and started to get my head round it all. Around this time I was mixing hardcore and jungle music. I eventually upgraded to a set of Technic 1210’s in 1996, still playing jungle music and early drum and bass but then from about 1997 I moved onto UKG as that was the biggest genre at the time where I came from (North London). I pretty much stayed with the UKG scene thru till about 2002, playing at many bars and clubs around the north London area but then I just fell out of love with it all and took a step back. Roughly 2006 I started to get back into it and really started to enjoy the new drum and bass music coming thru, I then found myself playing on many pirate FM stations and just enjoying the music. I’ve always been a massive fan of radio and coming from north London we certainly had a lot to choose from. I have many plans in the pipe line in the future for hosting DNB nights and have already got a very big 3 day festival to organise which will involve DJ’s and MC’s playing house, garage, DNB, Jungle, Old Skool and Old skool Hip-hop. I think its fair to say that music is definitely the most influential thing in my life, its has the power to pick you up and make you remember good times."
