Love to Funk is the masterful collaboration of Producers Simon C, Tony Smoove and Nora Blu. This trio hail from South London and share a love for House, Garage and Urban music. Simon C and Tony Smoove's passion for music was stoked back in the 90s as DJ's on the London Garage Circuit. Individually they played on various urban garage and pirate stations honing their craft and stoking their love for real urban vibes. As the garage scene grew, the energetic wave of UK sound saw them both Playing on Slammin FM, Soundz 94.3, Force FM & eventually the skillful duo of Love to Funk was formed. Both influenced by the electronic and soulful sounds of the 80's & 90's combined their musical vision and creative talents to producing distinctive dance music with vibrance and soul.
In 2010 they sought a singer to seal the Love to Funk sound and take their music to the next level. Nora Blu an experienced South London Soul singer had an immediate rapport with the pair and added her vocal edge. Nora Blu has a wealth of experience singing for Stanton Warriors, Scott Garcia and Martine Girault. A seasoned lyricist and session vocalist her timeless sound and diverse style brings an authentic warmth and uniqueness to Love to Funk. Nora's love for Motown, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder shines through the music as do the heartfelt lyrics about love and heartbreak. Love to Funk's signature sound is one of real urban flow and catchy melodic sound.
in november 2018 tony smoove & simon c came up with the idea of running their own radio station. a way of combining their love for music and the volkswagen scene. on january 5th 2019 vdubradio was born and has since grown strength to strength becoming the listeners choice within the volkswagen and camping community.
